e-Letter

January 6, 2022

Dear West View Family

In this my first e-letter of 2022, I join Siphiwe and our families in wishing you a blessed 2022. May God’s goodness and grace be yours.

IN-PERSON WORSHIP IN JANUARY

We gather for in-person worship @ 9h00 this Sunday 9 January. On 16 January, we will return to worshipping in-person at 8h00 and 10h00, with Godly Play for kids @ 8h00 and Children’s Church and Rooted Youth @ 10h00. We will also serve coffee and tea after the services from 16 January. As the COVID-19 infection rates continue to fall and it becomes clear that vaccines are indeed preventing serious disease, I encourage those of you living in Centurion to return to in-person worship. It’s always a joy to be together and catch up after long times apart.

JOIN A SMALL GROUP FOR ‘PEOPLE OF THE LIGHT’

We kick off 2022 with our first preaching series – a four-week exploration of 1 Thessalonians – on 16 January. If your New Year’s resolution is to join a small group, click on the button below to sign up for a small group.

WEDNESDAY MORNING ZOOM BIBLE STUDY WITH SIPHIWE AND IAN

The Wednesday Zoom Bible Study starts on 19 January @ 10h00. New members welcome regardless of church affiliation or geographical area. To receive the weekly zoom link, send a whatsapp to the West View Cell with your name and ‘Wed Bible Study’.

CONGRATULATIONS
Congratulations to James and Jemma Rogers on the birth of Ava Joy on 5 January. We welcome Ava to God’s world!

WELCOME CHARL VENTER

We welcome our new Youth Pastor, Charl Venter, onto our staff team. Charl has served congregations in Gauteng, Cape Town and the US and we look forward to working alongside him in impacting our young people with the gospel of Jesus Christ

FINANCES

We closed off 2021 with tithes and offerings just R121 000 (2%) short of budget. Thank you for your regular, sacrificial, and joyful giving towards God’s work at West View, which has enabled us to continue to be a community where life change happens by the power of God’s Spirit.

Grace and Peace

Ian
