Feedback from Strategic Planning Day on 18 September
Thank you for your prayers over and suggestions for our Strategic Planning Day on 18 September. Johan Greeff led us in an energetic engagement with a focus group of teens, young adults and young parents as we considered their needs and how we as a congregation can effectively minister to and with them. In addition to some great decisions in this regard, we are ensuring that our older members are also ministered to through home visits and telephonic pastoral care. There was a strong sense of the Holy Spirit’s inspiration at work on the day, due no doubt to your prayers for it. Watch this space!
Donation of Umbrellas
Thank you to Men@Work and an individual congregation member for the donation of two more picnic tables for the area outside the sanctuary. We’re looking for a donation of umbrellas to put up over the picnic tables on Sundays. These umbrellas can be branded (although not with ads for alcohol!) If anybody is able to arrange a sponsorship of some umbrellas, please contact me ian@westview.org.za
Congregational Survey
Won’t you take 5 minutes to complete an online congregational survey. This will help us as we seek to address your needs. Click here to complete it
Condolences
We extend our condolences to James and Jemma Rogers on the passing of Jemma’s great-gran, to Ian and Jessica Mackey and Louise Donkin on the passing of Carol, and to Siphiwe Madi and his family on the passing of his sister. May the sure hope of the resurrection to eternal life sustain you all as we hold you in our hearts and prayers.
