FOUNDATION NEW MEMBERS COURSE
If you have joined West View since January 2020, or if you wish to formalise your membership of West View by becoming a member, then register for our 5-week online course Foundation, starting Thursday evening 17 June. You’ll build relationship with other new members and with Siphiwe and me, discover what it means to be a member of the Methodist Church and specifically of West View, and learn more about the congregation that you are joining. As we are now a hybrid online/in-person congregation, this invitation is extended to you regardless of your geographical location. Click here (https://www.westview.org.za/new-members-application/) or email reception@westview.org.za to register.
IN-PERSON WORSHIP AND GATHERINGS AT WEST VIEW DURING THE THIRD COVID WAVE
We currently have one in-person Sunday worship service at 10h00 and continue with in-person gatherings on campus. However, no serving of refreshments will take place until we are through the third COVID wave.
CROSSROAD
We’re thrilled to have CrossRoad leading our in-person worship on Fathers’ Day, Sunday 20June @10h00. Online worship will be a livestream of this service @10h00.
FINANCIAL UPDATE
Tithes and Offerings for May totalled R477 350; R17 350 over budget, leaving a year-to-date shortfall of R10 260. Once again, West View has risen with joy and generosity to the challenge presented during May Tithe Month. Thank you for your continued faithfulness and generosity in giving to God’s work through West View.
APPOINTMENT OF SIPHIWE AS SECRETARY OF LIMPOPO SYNOD
We congratulate Siphiwe on his appointment, at last week’s Synod, as Synod Secretary for a three-year term starting January 2022. We know that Siphiwe will be a blessing to the Synod in this role, and pray for God’s wisdom and zeal to rest upon Siphiwe.
Grace and Peace
