Dear West View family

The risen Christ is present with all of us in this time of uncertainty and physical separation. Know that I am praying for you all.

Our new series BE FREE launches this Sunday. Over the next 2 months, we’ll discover, through our study of Philippians, what freedom in Christ in the middle of a pandemic looks like. There are several ways, apart from online worship, in which you can participate in this series:

  1. Subscribe to our daily devotions channel: WhatsApp DEVO to the West View cell number (072 537 2384). You’ll be automatically added to the daily devotions broadcast and receive a short devotion via WhatsApp Monday – Friday each week starting 20th April. Daily devotions will also be posted in PDF at
  2. Zoom Bible Study: For those whose Home Groups are not meeting on Zoom, I’ll be holding a Bible Study every Tuesday at 19h30, repeated on Wednesday at 10h00. The meeting links will be posted on the West View WhatsApp Channel each Tuesday. If you wish to participate but haven’t used Zoom before, please download and become familiar with the programme in preparation.

Join us every Thursday at 10h00 for a Zoom Prayer meeting. We’ll meet to pray for victory over the pandemic. The meeting link will be posted each Wednesday on the WhatsApp channel.

Thank you to all who have shown support for Alida and Ditshego through your phone calls and messages. Thank you also for those who donated food towards food parcels for the community of Mooiplaas. People who live from hand to mouth are now finding their hands and stomachs empty, and serious hunger is becoming a reality for many. Every tin or bag of food donation makes a real difference. Thank you.

FOOD PACK ON FRIDAY 24th APRIL, 9h00 – 12h00

In response to the growing food crisis caused by lockdown, we’re holding a food pack next Friday 24th April, 9h00 – 12h00 at Mnandi Methodist Church, cnr Short Rd & the R114, Mnandi. We need 15 people (sorry, nobody over 65 or with medical conditions which make you high risk for COVID19). We have received government permission for these packs, and the highest standards of infection control will be practiced. Children welcome to participate. If you can help, please email to book your place and for authorisation paperwork. This will be the first of regular packs organised. If you can’t make 24th, but are available thereafter, please email Lael.

Every Sunday a video for Greenhouse (Pre-School to Gr3) will go live at 8h15. The Treehouse video (Gr4-7) will go live at 9h45 after the worship service.

Grace and Peace
