Dear West View family
BRING-A-FRIEND SUNDAY
Peter, the first leader of the church, became a Christ-follower as a result of his brother Andrew’s invitation. In John 1:41 we read how Andrew, one of the first to follow Jesus, said to his brother ‘we have found the Messiah’, and then took him to Jesus. Andrew’s intentionality about introducing his brother Peter to Jesus transformed not just Peter’s life but provided the young church with a great leader and preacher. Andrew is our role model, for we too are invited to be those who introduce people to Jesus. Doing church online has made it so easy for each of us to invite others to ‘come to church with us’. This Sunday is bring-a-friend Sunday. We’ve prepared a promo video for our new series on HOPE which we offer to you as a tool to use in inviting others to meet Jesus through West View’s online worship. You can access the video here (https://www.instagram.com/p/CBSwpuWq82F/?igshid=1g3w814pypw2x) or share it off our Facebook or Instagram page. Who knows the ripple of grace that could be set in motion by your simple effort of inviting others to worship with us?
THE CHURCH’S (VIRTUAL) OFFICE IS OPEN
Since lockdown began in late March, all church staff apart from ground and housekeeping staff have been working from home. Level 3 lockdown regulations request that all staff who can work from home continue to do so. In the spirit of playing our role in flattening the curve and protecting the vulnerable, church staff continue to work from home. Our ground and housekeeping staff have returned to work, and are working hard gardening, cleaning, and sanitising venues. Office staff will work from the church office on a need-only basis. The switchboard remains closed, but you can contact any staff member by email or cellphone. Here are a few helpful numbers:
