#comfortmustfall

Series: #mustfall

Dear West View family

Well, we didn’t win the World Cup...but I was so proud of the way the Boks picked themselves up after the shock of the first game loss. They gave their all in the semi-final, the only team to really push the winning All Black team all the way.

I’m not going to avoid getting knocked down in life… defeats and even shock defeats happen, but I never want to give up. Phil 4 “I can do all things..”

Our confirmation service took place last Sunday evening. So many people put so much into this Confirmation Year. I honestly can’t mention everyone...no, not an excuse.  Zuko needs to be thanked for an absolutely inspiring year for the confirmees. They literally shone on  Sunday evening. “Well done good and faithful servants” comes to mind.

The next three Sunday morning services will be ‘stand alone’ services. We begin our Advent  preparation after these three weeks.

Exciting news! From this Sunday evening we begin our three part #mustfall series. We take a serious look at what must fall in the church i.e. hypocrisy, in order for the church to truly be Christ’s church. If you can be there please make the effort. This will be challenging and life-changing.

Please pray for Ian as he travels in the States. He has taken a step of faith in being the co-ordinator/director for the Duke students doing practical ministry experience in South Africa.

Yours sincerely

Philip
