Where life change happens for our youth
In this fast changing, exciting and unpredictable time we find ourselves, we believe that it is God’s will to see young people empowered, strengthened, encouraged and connected to a community that will walk their own unique journey of life becoming the men and women that God has called them to be.
Rooted Youth is the vibrant and dynamic place that our young people here at West View call home.
The 3 G Connection
“So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him,
rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."
We are rooted in Jesus Christ and make Him the centre of all we do as we pursue the deepening of our relationship and intimacy with Him.
We believe all truth flows from Him and we journey together growing n knowledge, wisdom, character and love.
We are intentional about being the presence of the God to all people around us; displaying Gods love, kindness and forgiveness.
So why is ROOTED the place be:
If you are looking for a place where you meet amazing people, have great worship, be encouraged, motivated and supported, then you have come to the right place. There is something for everyone!

YOUTH CHURCH – Sunday Mornings (during the school term), 09h45
Youth Church (also referred to as Rooted) is the central place where our teenage youth get connect together in worship, fellowship and Bible study. Our Youth services aim to be the central place where our youth ministry is coordinated. It is here where we plan our events, organise outreaches, give feedback of what’s has been happening in the life of our youth and also encourage each other to get involved in other events and programmes within our church.
Current Youth Series: Our Kingdom (Term 2)
Each term, much as in the main services of the church, ROOTED runs a series for teenagers which focuses on specific aspects of teenage life whilst being firmly grounded in scriptural and biblical teaching. This term the youth are working through the series:
Many teenagers find themselves making the decision to follow Christ, accepting Him as their Lord and Saviour. However what does this actually mean and how does it look in our daily lives?
Jesus, as recorded in Luke 17:21 says “Behold, here it is. The Kingdom of God is amongst you”. The series looks at these worlds of Jesus and asks the question: “So what does it mean to be a part of the kingdom?” Each week the boys and the girls look at the different aspects that relate to them and what the scriptures have to say about being Sons and Daughters in the Kingdom.
The topics covered by the Girls:
The True Friendships in my Life – Eve Visser , High School educator
How a Daughter of the King carries herself – Michelle Smit, High School Deputy Principal
